Today, Calpurnia brought Jem and me to First Purchase- the church for the blacks. Cal had me scrubed all over and got me into the starchiest dress ever!
I dont understand why Cal was talking like the blacks.- that's something i got to ask. Cal got into some sort of quarrel with a tall negro woman whom they called Lula. They quarrelled about us- Jem and me and i suddenly felt like going home.
When we finally went into First Purchase, I wondered why there were no hymn-books. I was immediately answered when Zeebo led the hymns. He sang a line and we simply repeated. Cal told me this was called lining. It was definitely better than other hymns we sang on normal sundays!
We had a morning offering and Reverend Skyes insisted that he must have at least ten dollars to help Helen, Tom Robinson's wife. He shut the doors and I felt suffocated. Slowly, Reverend Skyes finally generated ten dollars.
We sang -or rather lined- our last hymn and talked to Reverend Skyes after the service.
we were reaching home when Jem noticed Aunt Alexandra sitting at the porch- all alone. It turns out the Aunt Alexandra is going to stay here permanently!- this is no good, no good at all..
She is calling me now. I hope I am not in for one of the ' why- are- you-in -overalls' lecture again.
Mrs. Dubose.- that awful woman.

That awful Mrs. Dubose who lives near us is a total nuisance.
Firstly, she calls Atticus names.- the same one Francis and Cecil Jacob did.
Then when she gets totally on Jem's nerves, Jem went insane and cut off her camellias.
Although Jem definetely should not have done that, she was too much when Jem apologised to her.
His punishment: to read to her for one whole month!.
That is sooooooo unreasonable.
Do not really understand why Atticus said she was the bravest woman she had ever seen.
So I went to Mrs. D's house after school today.
Jem picked up Ivanhoe and started to read aloud.
After a while, I noticed that she wasn't even listening.
The alarm startled us.
Jessie then shooed us out of the room as it was time for Mrs. D's medicine.
Off to play football with Jem now!.
Will give update on that horrible Mrs. D. soon!
Bullet- proof Atticus!

So proud of my dad.
He shot Tim Johnson straight into his head
and killed that rabbis-infected dog straight away and saved the whole Maycomb County!
In your face, Cecil Jacobs. - call my dad bullet-proof instead of a nigger-lover now!
he saved your life.- even Heck Tate was shivering with fear.
I do not understand though why Jem does not want me to tell anyone in school.
But i would- to redeem myself.
Prejuidice!

Bias, prejuidiced, favouritism, one- sidedness.
there are so many words to express what have beendone to me. The horrendous Francis is simply wicked!.
Firstly, he says terrible things aout Atticus being a nigger-lover and is ruining the family.
He then runs into the kitchen and claims that I did not allow him to get out.
At first, I tried not to bother about him in case I get into a fight and let Atticus down again.
Then, he started to get on my nerves.
He was so annoying that I had to sent a punch straight into his face to get him to stop. He then claimed that I called hime a 'whore- lady' when I did noteven know what it meant. Uncle Jack then tried to stop me and i said something terrible to him but I did not mean it. Actually,I regret telling him those terrible words but I am still fuming mad at him for not finding out the truth before reprimanding me.
Atticus sent us straight home - good choice, I do not need to stay at the heidous place anymore - I went straight up to my room and slammed the door shut.
Francis deserved it and yet he was crying like a baby.
Hold on, there is aknock on my door now...
Christmas. :/
♥ 10:29 PM
Christmas is here once again. somehow, this year, i do not feel like celebrating it as we have to go to The Finch's Landing and meet naggy Aunt Alexandra nad horrid Fracis Hancock.
The thing that helped me lighten up a little was the beautiful christmas tree in the livong room and the presence of Uncle Jack.
Francis is the worst person I've ever met.
I sure am going to hate christmas at the Finch's Landing...
